Spring Song by Felix Mendelssohn
This piece has probably been used for almost every cartoon segment showing Spring with birds chirping and flying about. So, most people probably haven’t heard more than the first 17-20 seconds. Still fewer probably know that it was composed by Felix Mendelssohn.
The piece is actually from Book V of the Songs Without Words (Lieder Ohne Worte), Op. 62, No. 6, and is designated as Allegretto grazioso.
